Interim measures granted
Authorities have partly followed the order of the Court
Living conditions at the time of the application
When the applicant arrived on Samos, she and her husband were not provided with anything by the authorities. They had to buy a used tent in the jungle. During three fires in the camp on 26 and 27 April 2020 the applicant lost her tent and all the belongings she had left. However, she was not provided with any support by the authorities. As a result the applicant was forced to sleep outside for 12 days. She and her husband then received a one-person tent and a thin blanket from an NGO which they share. They do not have mattress; hence they had to sleep on some cardboard.
Court decision
The Court ordered to provide the applicant with accommodation and healthcare that are compatible with her particular status.
Outcome
Greek Authorities have partly followed the order of the Court. The applicant was transferred to an apartment.
